Lion Alcometer® SD-400 is a fast, accurate, fully quantitative breathalyser for analysis of breath alcohol and a portable device that can be used literally anywhere. It uses the Lion fuel cell sensor, so the reading is very unlikely to be affected by anything in the subject’s breath other than alcohol. The SD-400 is fully automatic, through microprocessor control, so it is very simple to use.
It is used extensively by Police Forces around the world, for both screening and evidential testing. A fully automatic, simple to use breath alcohol measuring instrument for use by Police, industry, medicine and in many other applications.

To ensure accuracy of the results, Lion SD-400 instrument's calibration should be checked periodically using known alcohol standard. These contain compressed air mixed with alcohol vapour in known concentration and available in 2 options - Short Shelf Life and Long Shelf Life. As a guide, depending on the usage a recalibration should not be required before every 6 months. These are both expiry prone products so to ensure longest expiry you need not purchase the alcohol standard before you actually require them.
