Description
Vehicle First Aid Kits includes medical products for immediate first aid and designed to be easily carried in your motor vehicle. Carrying a first aid kit in your car, van, bus, lorry etc can be vital in providing immediate first aid to your passengers, anyone injured on the roadside or even receive the yourself.
BSi published the new national standard for first aid provision within motor vehicles, called BS8599-2:2014. The standard aims to improve safety for all UK motorists by equipping vehicles with the most appropriate first response medical supplies necessary to treat road side injuries.
These kits require very little storage space in your vehicle and supplied in compact zipped nylon pouches that can be easily stored in the glove box, under a seat or in the boot.
Based on number of Passengers carrying capacity and vehicle type, BS8599-2 specifies requirements for the compilation of medical products in the first aid kit. Explained below is the size and number of kits required vis-a-vis the passenger carrying capacity and vehicle type -
- 1x Medium Kit for a 1 - 8 Passenger Vehicle like - Car, Taxi, Truck, Van, Commercial Vehicle etc.
- 1x Large Kit for a 1 - 16 Passenger Vehicles like - Small Bus, Mini Bus etc.
- 2x Large Kits for 17+ Passenger Vehicle like - Bus, Coach etc. Multi level vehicles may require more than 2 Large kits.
